Why was Duncan a good king ?

A

Holy - people thought the king was chosen by God and has a divine right to rule

Just - Duncan upholds justice by punishing those who betray him “ has the Thane of Cawdor been executed”

Generous - Duncan rewards loyalty “my worthy cawdor”

Peaceful - Only fights and causes casualties to protect his country
, not for his own personal gain

Why is Macbeth a bad king ?

A

Violent - Macbeth kills anyone who might challenge his rule “The son is fled”

Dishonest - Macbeth betrays Duncan to become king “I have done the deed”

Selfish - Macbeth purses power rather than what’s
best for the country or its people “each new day a gash is added to her wounds” and “more
suffer”

A

Holy - He is restoring the divine right of kings

Just - He hold justice by getting revenge on Macbeth that killed his “royal father”

Peaceful - He is only killing Macbeth to save his “poor country”
