Q

How do microscope lenses work?

A

A microscope always zooms in at at least 10 times so if a lense had the number 40 on them it will make the microscope 4 times as more powerful.

Q

How would you prepare and view onion cells under a microscope?

A

Firstly, get the microscope, onion, scalpel, iodine, cover slip and glass slide. Secondly, dice the onion with the scalpel and then cut one of the cubes so thin that it looks nearly transparent. Thirdly, put the onion on the glass slide, stain the onion with iodine and cover it with the cover slip. After that, push the clips of the microscope back, put the covered onion in the center of the stage and pill the clips back onto the edges of the glass slide. Lastly, look through thebye piece, choose which lense you want to use and adjust the view using the coarse focusing wheel and (if needed) use the fine focusing wheel to adjust the view even more.
