-Forms Gov from the political party/coalition with the majority of seats

Premier
The leader of the party in Government (Currently Jacinta Allen)
Ministers
Senior representatives belonging to the party in government who are allocated a role to oversee the legislation of particular fields (E.g. Housing, Planning)
How many seats are required to form government?
45 (50%+1)
Legislative Council
(Upper house)
-40 seats
-4 year terms
-bills passed by legislative assembly are sent to LC to be reviewed, scrutinized and debated before being either passed or denied.
The Governor (the Crown)
-Granting (or not) Royal assent to bills to be passed as legislation
Chair executive councils
The governor acts on behalf of the Executive Council and often meets with these ministers of the government to discuss any legislative matters that come before the Governors office.
