(Rich soil + reliable water vs constant hunting)
The settled locations eventually became dense populations w/ political control.
Malthusian Theory led to Social Darwinism (Theory is wrong)

Closing the yield gap: maximizing production on current footprints.
Increasing production limits: using GMO’s and similar to make harder + successful plants.
Reducing food waste: 35% of worlds food is wasted.
Changing Diet: Reduce meat consumption, allowing for more farmland.
Expand aquaculture: relatively inexpensive source of protein.

Grazing Land: land for livestock
Crop Land: Land for agriculture
Built-up Areas: Land for buildings
In general, crop land hasn’t gone up much at all over the years.

Blueberries + potatoes in Atlantic Canada
Dairy Cows and Hogs in Ontario (70:58 %) + Soybean and Winter Wheat
Quebec has an increase in maple syrup + cranberries
Prairies = pretty much all Canola, wheat, barley, Cattle (99:98:96:73 %)
BC produced 50% of mushrooms in Canada
40% of farmers are 55 yrs <
