Q

3 methods of increasing venous return

A
  1. Venous valves
    -Prevent blood from going backwards
  2. Muscle pump
-Muscle constricts veins, forcing blood to the heart
  3. Respiratory pump
    -Inhaling increases abdominal pressure and
decreases thoracic pressure, creating a gradient
that forces blood to the heart
