Q

What is the Peripheral Nervous System (PNS) and what is it made up of?

A
  • The nervous system outside the brain and spinal cord

It is made up of:

  • Somatic nervous system which contains afferent nerves (carries information to - sensory) and efferent nerves (carries information from (motor)
  • Automatic nervous system which contains afferent nervous and efferent nerves (parasympathetic - rest VS digest) and (sympathetic - fight VS flight)
