What is Cognitive Neuroscience?
A
- Most previous work based on the 5 earlier disciplines
- animal experimentation or Neuropsychology the only way to observe the relationship between brain areas and behaviour of living organisms

Who was Victor Louis Leborgne and what was his involvement with/in natural lesions?
A
- Further evidence for localisation of function
- he lost speech production: could only say 1 word = “tan”
- understanding (of speech) remained intact
- Broca, 1861
- Broca’s Aphasia

Who was Henry Gustav Molaison and what was his involvement in lesions?
A
- He had epilepsy (due to truama?)
- in 1953 he had a surgical resection of the medial temporal lobes and removed his hippocampi
- this resulted in anterograde amnesia
