Who is LeVay and what did LeVay do in relation to Nuclei of the hypothalamus?

A

1991 study:

  • Obtained brain tissue from 41 subjects/participants
  • 19 homosexual men (their homosexuality was noted in their medical records)
  • 16 (presumed) heterosexual men
  • 6 (presumed) heterosexual women

LeVay, (1991, 1035):
- I hypothesised that INAH 2 or INAH 3 is large in individuals sexually orientated towards women (heterosexual men and homosexual women) and small individuals sexually oriented towards men (heterosexual women and homosexual men)
