Project charter (definition)
a living document outlining the issues, targets, and framework of a process improvent effort for both the team as well as leadership
Project objective (definition + 3)
Communicates the goal of the project, it should
- Address the deficiency defined in the problem statement
- Quantify the expected improvement
- Identify the timing
Project sponsor
not neccessarily a team member, but a critical resource and important stakeholder. One that allocates the assignment, provides resources, information, feedback, connections, decides termination. Most importantly, he/she breaks barriers and facilitates project execution
Project champion
not really active, oversees the whole project (CEO)
Steering committee
committee that oversees the execution of the project, including the project champion, sponsor and manager
Improvement team
yellow belts, green belts, engineers, financial people, etc. Those who apply the DMAIC
RACI matrix goal
Describes who should be held responsible, accountable, who should be consulted and informed
