Error in human perception.

Error in cognition translating between perception and action.

Error due to the execution of physical responses.

When a system is not used according to correct procedure.

Low stress.
What causes attention to be too narrow, and what is this called?
High stress, and cognitive tunneling.
What type of memory does stress reduce?
Working memory.
How does stress affect risk aversion?
Can make it higher or lower.
What produces response perseveration?
Stress.
What discourages creative thinking, and what is the process called?
Stress, and cognitive narrowing.
How can one reduce stress’ negative effects?
By giving the operator more control over the stressor, as well as training and minimizing working memory demands.
