What is the visuo-motor control?
The ability to coordinate visual information with motor actions, involving tasks like reaching for an object or tracking a moving target

Brain Regions that coordinate visual information with motor actions
How does a visuo-motor control work in water-beetles?
Larvae will swim towards light in need of air. They will also swim away from air when it has been replenished
How does visuo-motor control work in mammals
They use fibres from the superior colliculus that form separate visual modules in mammals
How do the fibres in mammal visuo-motor modules function?
Fibres to the contralateral brain stem lead to the ‘grasp’ reflex and fibres to the ipsilateral brain stem lead to the ‘escape’ response
