ADHD characteristics

A
  1. inattention
    - fail to give close attention in tasks
    - difficulty sustaining attention
    - inability to listen when spoken to
    - challenge with following through instructions
    - loses things for tasks and activities
    - distracted by external stimuli
    - forgetful of daily activities
  2. hyperactivity and impulsivity
    - fidget, hand tapping or squirming in seat
    - leave seat when expected to sit
    - run out or climb in inappropriate situations
    - unable to play/engage in leisure activities quietly
    - driven by a motor
    - excessive talking
    - blurts out answer before question completed
    - interrupts others
    - difficulty waiting turn
