- IPS (In-Plane Switching)
Definition: A kind of screen technology that shows colors very accurately and looks good from different angles.
Advantage: Colors stay true and clear, even when you’re not looking straight at the screen.
Disadvantage: It can be a bit slow to change images, which might make fast movement look blurry.
Def: Accurate color, wide viewing angles
Adv: Clear colors from any angle
Disadv: Slower response = motion blur.
- TN (Twisted Nematic)
Ideal for gaming monitors due to fast response times and low input lag, but offers inferior color quality and narrow viewing angles.
Def: Fast response, low input lag
Adv: Great for gaming
Disadv: Poor color & viewing angles.
- VA (Vertical Alignment)
Definition: A type of screen that shows very dark blacks and strong contrast, great for watching videos.
Advantage: Looks great in dark scenes with deep blacks and clear details.
Disadvantage: Can be a bit slow with moving images and doesn’t look as good from side angles.
Def: Deep blacks, high contrast – great for videos
Adv: Excellent dark scene quality
Disadv: Slower response, narrow viewing angles.
