What is DVT / Circulatory Contraindication
Deep vein thrombosis – Most important CI. Massage can dislodge a Blood clot within the deep veins of the body, can cause death. Typically, the legs (calf/ hamstring). FACTORS (that can cause) – Immobility, recent surgery, varicose veins, heart disease, diabetes, pill, impact trauma. It can cause leg pain and swelling. Feels harder and dense. NO TREATMENT – Refer to GP.
