Q

Explain how mitochondria and chloroplasts may have evolved from archaic prokaryotes and microbes

A

Endosymbiosis theory suggests that they were once cells which were engulfed by larger cells, then forming endosymbiotic relationship with each other, forming mitochondria/chloroplasts.
