What does “still” mean?

A

1) Encore, toujours (pour quelque chose qui était vrai et qui l’est toujours). Examples: He’s 30 years old and he still lives with his parents. Is Connor Bedard still injured? Are you still learning English?

2) Quand même. Examples: I hate cooking but I still have to do it everyday. I don’t want to work today but I still have to.

3) Combiné à un négative (une forme de “not”), c’est l’équivalent du “not yet”, i.e. “pas encore”. Exemples: I haven’t called him yet. = I still haven’t called him. He hasn’t answered me yet. = He still hasn’t answered me.
