Challenge at the time - Explain to the person how they are discriminating.
Challenge afterwards through procedures - tell the person to read the organisations policies.

Discriminatory Practice [4 Examples]
-Prejudice
-Inadequate care
-Abuse and neglect
-Breach of health and safety - Care setting not having any trained first aiders, staff not trained in manual handling, equipment not regularly checked for any damage, inadequate hygiene practices and activities not being risk assessed.
Whistleblowing
This involves raising concerns with senior members of staff, or in extreme circumstances where you believe this cannot be done to a senior member of staff you may need to ‘‘whistle blow’’ to outside authorities such as Ofsted or the CQC.
