- 15th June 1381
- Wat Tyler met King Richard II
-there where 60 knights and nobles + Lord Mayor of London William Walworth - Wat Tyler demanded free fishing
- confiscation of all church lands
-reiterated the previous demands of the peasants - Walworth told Tyler to speak to King with respect
- Tyler moved to attack Walworth
- Walworth struck him with a blow across the neck and chest
- a furthering blow mortally wounded Wat

A
- 30th May 1381, villagers of Fobbing, Essex got threatened by Thomas de Bampton when refusing to pay Poll Tax
- 100 villagers in all, including those from Corringham got together to drive him and his officers away

- guards opened drawbridge at Southwark, which allowed rebels to pass over London bridge as they were threatened by large mob
- others later that day came from the North under Jack Straw
