• Winter Months: Plants save energy by decreasing photosynthesis. This process results in lower absorption CO₂ by the ecosystem, returning the cycle to its starting point
• Earth is no longer ‘breathing’ in a stable pattern, the 3 most common fossil fuels (Coal, Oil and Gas) release CO₂ during combustion
• Photosynthesis can no longer keep up with absorption of these increasing CO₂ levels
