Junctions:

First Floor- Platform Frame

A

Notes:

  • First Floor has a double joist for additional strength.
  • Insulation is packed around the first floor junction to avoid a cold bridge.
  • Breather Membrane from first floor stud frame overlaps ground floor membrane. The first floor cavity is ventilated by a weep vent, that allows water to escape.
  • VCL (red line) wraps around the outside of floor plate to maintain the line of vapour control.

Q

Junctions:

Eaves- Platform Frame

A

Notes:

  • The insulation is continuous, providing a robust ‘warm roof’ detail.
  • Breather Membrane below the roof tiles overlaps the gutter, allowing water to drain.
  • The roof cavity is ventilated.
  • The VCL (red line) maintains the line of vapour control.
