Blood agar is an example becuase of hemolysis. Some colonies clear, green, no change

A
Nutrient agar…this is agar with other growth factors in it

Grown in jars where O2 is removed.
Lit candle, then close lid, flame uses up oxygen

MSA (mannitol salt agar)
Selective: bacteria that can grow in high salt
Differential: how bacteria break down mannitol
