Explain feudal system in medieval times
Feudalism was the system of land ownership where rulers divided land among their followers in return for loyalty and taxes. These followers were called nobles and were given land (called a fief).
Those nobles then gave some of their land to knights, Knights looked after peasants who worked on the lords lands
Explain religion in medieval times
Medieval Europe was almost entirely. Catholic. Religious belief was very strong and had a huge influence on people’s daily lives. Many people lived in constant fear of going to hell if they did not obey the Church’s teachings. The Pope in Rome was the head of the Catholic Church and was the most powerful ruler in Europe. Europe was divided into dioceses, run by archbishops and bishops, and then into smaller parishes, run by priests.
Explain medicine in medieval times
Medieval medicine was based on the writings of the Ancient Greeks. If a person was sick, it was due to an imbalance between these humours. Bleeding,cupping,leeching.amoutation
mixtures of herbs given to the sick.
Monasteries specialised in the care of the sick and functioned as the first hospitals.

• Cupping: placing heated metal cups on the skin to draw fluids to the surface
