Where a time is given in calendar days, it shall start at 00.01 on the calendar day following the discovery

How long is repair interval B?
Items in this category shall be rectified within three consecutive calendar days excluding the day of discovery
E.g. if problem recorded at 13.00 on Jan 26th, the 3 day interval begins at 00.01 on Jan 27th and ends at 23.59 on Jan 29th
How long is repair interval C?
Items in this category shall be rectified within ten consecutive calendar days excluding the day of discovery
E.g. if problem recorded at 13.00 on Jan 26th, the 10 day interval begins at 00.01 on Jan 27th and ends at 23.59 on Feb 5th
How long is repair interval D?
Items in this category shall be rectified within one hundred and twenty consecutive calendar days excluding the day of discovery

Allows an operator to permit a one-time extension of a repair interval, for the same duration of the original repair interval.
It is used when a repair has not been possible, for a reason which is accepted by the authority

What is a calendar day?
24 hour period from 00.00.01 to 23.59.59 based on UTC
