Q

What is the stage?

A

Holds the slide under objective lens, and moves it back and forth and side to side when you move the controls.

Allows light to pass through slide for viewing.

Q

What is the condensor?

A

Two lenses that focus light from the illuminator on the slide.
Can be adjusted to change intensity of the light source.

Q

What is total magnification?

A

Is calculated by taking the ocular lens and multiplying the objective lens strength.
EG. x10 Ocular lens x x40 objective lens = x400 total magnification

17
Q

What 3 pieces of equipment is every clinic required to have?

A

Microscope, refractometer, and Centrifuge
