to see if viewing someone as a legitimate authority figure by the way that they are dressed will influence obedience levels
procedure
same as milligrams original experiment except the role of the experimenter was played by a confederate wearing ordinary clothes. 4 people entered the room the experimenter mr Wallace the ppant and the second confederate. the experimenter strapped the learner into a chair and left the room instructing the second confederate to continue the procedure and give verbal prods when necessary
findings
20% of the ppants went to 450v
conclusion
people dressed in ordinary clothing and not a uniform are viewed as less of a legitimate authority figure
