“Cleats” means
a ladder’s crosspieces of rectangular cross section which are placed on edge and on which a person may step to ascend or descend.
“Double-cleat ladder” means
a ladder that is similar to a single-cleat ladder, but is wider and has an additional rail in the center that allows simultaneous 2-way traffic.
