What is it used for?

A

mobile device management

helps to manage all phones of an organization used by their employees from one access point whether they are company-owned or user-owned devices that they use at work and for personal. helps to;
-set policies on allowed apps
-make sure data is protected
-allow camera functionality or not
-allows for partitioning of company data to protect in if they are also using the phone for personal
-allows you to delete company data from phone without affecting users private data
-allows you manage access control by forcing timed lockscreens and passwords
