A

Whistle blowing is when a staff member makes a disclosure outside there agency when normal policy and procedure are not protecting staff and patients

  • Be familiar with Raising concerns (Whistleblowing) policy
  • It relates to making a disclosure in the public interest
  • EMAS encourages individuals to speak out if they suspect malpractice where they perceive there is a risk to patients, public or colleagues
