Altered Chords as common chords
Secondary function Chords functioning non diatonic in first key as a secondary function than a diatonic V or viio chord in the change of key
Sequential Modulation
A modulation by moving of step or some other repeating pattern. Examples include circle of 5ths sequence or an ascent of minor thirds. Chord pattern found in one key than in the next key is a sequence of chord pattern
Modulation by common tone
By repeating a common tone between the first key and the modulation by isolating the note. Than dramatically modulates to the next key
Monophonic modulation
Similar to common tone modulation however here the tone or line being used is not diatonic to the original key and instead only to the second key.
Direct modulation
A modulation without any attempt to smoothing it out such as a phrase modulation without any attempt to smooth out
