Businesses want to motivate their staff as it increases productivity and improves relations in the work place. They also make business environments nicer as people communicate more and nicer. It can also increase staff retention

A

Staff training and management styles could influence motivation as the styles of training and management could change the businesses way of motivation. Eg a company who had a management style of being democratic would have a motivation technique of promotion (for decision) as there decision would still be the same of the other employees,

A leader is a person who leads a company forward and to better things.
A leader must be decide objectives,provide expertise,support staff,motivational,delegate work fairly,lead by example and have good control.

A

Autocratic management is good for jobs that need discipline to do eg the army or doctors.
Democratic management is good for jobs that effect lots of people socially such as a railway company
A paternalistic management is good for jobs that deal with lots of customers or very tough such as innovative companies eg apple who struggle with making new products.

Democratic - a leader who makes decisions from his views and others collectively
Paternalistic - a leader who values each staff and treats them in a fatherly way, showing support wherever.

A

Management styles can either increase the staff motivation or it can negatively impact staff to feel undervalued and not trusted. It would increase motivation as the staff would feel trusted and vital for success. But it could make staff feel like a cog in a huge system.
