C: Glutamate receptor antagonist
M: Kaninate and NDMA receptor antagonist; possibly inhibits sodium channels and G-protein coupled receptors
T: ALS
SE: Rare hepatotoxicity (check serum transaminase levels)** Nausea, diarrhea
MISC: Pertussis toxin reverses some of riluzole’s clinical effects; short improvement in median survival
