Superior, middle & inferior fibers

A

O: Occipital bone, ligamentum nuchae & spinous processes of C7-T12
I: Lateral 1/3 of clavicle, spine & acromion of scapula
A: 1. Superior fibers: upward rotation of scapula; can also help to extend the head
2. Middle fibers: Adduction of scapula (retraction)
3. Inferior fibers: Depression & upward rotation of scapula
N: Accessory nerve (CN XI) and cervical pinal nerve C3-C5

Latissimus Dorsi

A

O: Spinous processes of T7-L5, sacarl crest, iliac crest and inferior 4 ribs
I: Floor of intertubercular groove of humerus
A: Extension, adduction & medial rotation of the humerus bone
N: Thoracodorsal nerve
