NATOPS Requirement to be a HAC
In addition to completing the requirements set forth for an MH-60R H2P, an MH-60R Helicopter Aircraft Commander (HAC) shall:
- Meet the requirements for HAC specified in CNAF M-3710.7.
- Satisfactorily complete an approved MH-60R HAC PQS syllabus.
Minimum Pilot Currency Requirements (NATOPS)
An MH-60Rpilot shall meet the following minimum requirements in order to be considered current in model:
- Maintain a current NATOPS evaluation in model.
- Maintain a current instrument rating in accordance with CNAF M-3710.7.
- Satisfy night and instrument minimum flying hours as set forth in CNAF M-3710.7.
Vertrep Quals
Initial:
4 day field evolutions or
4 day shipboard evolutions
Evolution: approach, pickup, transport, drop off
4 in last 365 days is current
Min Flightcrew Requirements: Non tactical/fam flight
2 H2Ps
Or
1 HAC and a QO
Min Flightcrew Requirements: FCF
1 FCP
1 QO
1 Aircrewman or TFO crewmember
Min Flightcrew Requirements: Orientation Flight
1 HAC
1 QO
1 Aircrewman
Min Flightcrew Requirements: Utility Missions (pax/cargo transport, ferry flights etc.)
1 HAC
1 PQM

Min Flightcrew Requirements: SAR missions

1 MH-60R Aircrewman

Min Flightcrew Requirements: SUW/ASW Missions

Min Flightcrew Requirements: Flights from air capable ships
Day VMC:
2 H2Ps and 1 Aircrewman
Or
1 HAC, 1 QO, 1 Aircrewman
Night or IMC
1 HAC, 1 PQM, 1 Aircrewman
Min Flightcrew Requirements: Instrument Flight
In addition to CNAF reqs
1 HAC
1 Designated Naval Aviator
Or
2 H2Ps
If simulated:
Add 1 QO in cabin area
All pilots must hold a valid inst rating w/ exception of DNA receiving inst refresher training or on inst checkflight
