Management of neutropenic sepsis

A
  • Start Abx immediately
  • do not wait for cultures
  • Tazocin
  • If still febrile after 48hrs escalate to meropenem +/- vancomycin
  • if patient not responding after 4-6 days Ix for fungal infection with HRCT
  • role for G-CSF in certain patients
