What is the climate of New Zealand?

A

Generally maritime, with the North Island a little warmer than south. Mountains in the center of the island protect the vineyards on the east side. Plentiful rainfall can be a problem.

A

Tropical, herbaceous Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Noir. Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, Riesling, Merlot, Cabernet and Syrah are also planted.
