What is obedience
Is a form of social influence whereby the person issuing the order has a sort of authority figure or authority influence which has the power to punish when the obedient order is not forthcoming.
What is an autonomous state
a mindset whereby a human behaves independently , aware of their moral conscience and takes personal responsibility over their actions
What an agentic state
a mindset whereby humans carry ou even t orders from authority figures even if it goes against their own moral conscience due to the fact that there’s a belief that because they’re doing the action on behalf of someone else it neglects them of consequences
Moral strain
When obeying the orders a person might feel distress levels of anxiety and discomfort as it goes against their own moral conscience in this state, however they are till complying to the order.

when binding factors outweigh moral stain obedience follow , this has been implemented in military strategies devised to ensure soldiers are complying to orders without moral strains they utilise certain milatiry dehumanising terminology to minimise the moral stain such as collateral damage unintentional deaths of civilians in pursuit of ligitimate military target
