What is obstructive uropathy?
A
Blockage or urine flow caused by BPH/renal stones

What is the pathoenesis of obstructive uropathy?
A
Obstruction = Urine retention and build up
= Increase KUB pressure
= reflux/backlog of urine in renal pelvis
= hydronpheresis (dilated renal veins)
=Prone to infections

What is the Sx of obstructive uropathy?
A
Usually associated with cause.
Tho may present asx if one kidney involved

Treating obstructive uropathy?
A
Relieve pressure - catheterization
treat cause and complications
