Who was Willhelm Wundt
Father of Experimental Psychology
Separated psychology from philosophy, studied the mind in a scientific way
What is introspection
Psychological method which involves analysing your own thoughts and feelings internally.
Why did Wundt use introspection
To study sensation and perception
Problems with introspection
Doesn’t explain how the mind works, isn’t objective
Not reliable, accounts can’t be confirmed
What is reductionism
Things can be reduced to simple cause-and-effect processes.
