Moksha
The liberation from the cycle of death and rebirth. Can be attained through following dharma.
Aryans
Also known as the Vedic people. They were from the central Asian highlands
Indra
God of war and created God. A God of the egalitarian nomads, the Vedic people.
Karma
Th choices/actions of an individual in this, or more usually in a prior life. Also explains image characteristics
Ahimsa
A Sanskrit word that means compassion or not to injure. Means nonviolence to all living beings.
Samsara
Means to wander across. Is the reincarnation/transmigration of souls. With meditation you can rid yourself of maya and escape the cycle
Atman
Atman is self, soul. The great knowledge is that ones atman is actually THE atman, where atman is like ur soul, understanding that is ANATman
Rishi
An inspired poet who invokes dirties with poetry. Similar to saint
Karuna
Desire to remove harm and suffering, part of the spiritual path
Maya
False knowledge. A big maya is to believe in individuality, when in reality everything is the same and connected
Anatman
Departure from the belief in self, ridding oneself of that maya. Understanding thT everything is connected

Upanishads
Considered by some part of the Veda. Means sitting at the foot of the teacher, and like they would gain supreme knowledge. End goal of vetas
Siddhartha guatama
Bhudda. His teachings are on what bhuddism is founded. Means awakened or enlightened one. He taught the middle way. He was the supreme bhudda
Law of Manu
Law of all the social classes. Compiled during Kushan empire. Describes origins of the four castes. Also designates the occupations for the caste. For example “one occupation only the lord prescribed to the shudra, to serve meekly even these three castes”
