  1. From left the right wing anti-Icing valve is closed and the crossbreed valve opens to permit bleed air from the left engine to provide ant-icing to both wings
  2. From right the left wing anti-icing valve is closed and the crossbreed valve opens to permit bleed air from the right engine to provide ant-icing to both wings

BLEED VALVES rotary switch

  1. AUTO allows for automatic operation the bleed valve
  2. CLSD selects the valves to the closed portion
  3. MANUAL allows for manual open or closed operation of the valve (controlled by the ACSC)
    - ISOL toggle switch
    - CLSD allows the valve to open automatically when APU LCV is open
    - OPEN allows manual operation of the valve in conjunction with the BLLED VALVES rotary switch in the manual position

BLEED SOURCE rotary switch

A

BOTH ENG the left and right engine bleed valve is open if both engines are capable of supplying bleed air. The APU LCV is closed (normal operation)

  1. L ENG the left engine bleed valve is opened if the left engine is capable of supplying bleed air. The right engine bleed valve and the APU LCV are closed.
  2. R ENG is the same

  3. OFF position pump is off

3A

  1. ON position allows the operation of the AC motor pump 3A
  2. OFF position, the pump is off

3B and 2 (1B)
1. Have the same operation as toggle switch 1 (1B)

A

Pressed in the manual DC motor will drive the outflow valve to fully open. Depressurizes the airplane. Switch light illuminates

  1. Pressed in allows the outflow valve to be manually operated, in conjunction with the MAN RATE toggle and rotary switches. (MAN portion of the switch light illuminates)
  2. The fault portion of the switch light illuminates indicates both pressurization controller have failed

A

With the cabin pressurization in the manual mode, controls the rate of change of the cabin altitude

  1. L PACK switch light pressed in supplies the flight deck through the mixing manifold
  2. R PACK switch light pressed in supplies the Passenger Cabin through the mixing manifold
    - FAULT portion of the switch light illuminates
  3. Indicates either an over temperature or over pressure condition
    - OFF portion of the switch light illuminates
  4. Indicates that the associated PACK is off

A

Selecting switch to OPEN allows air from the ram air scoop to enter the mixing manifold. This will allow flight deck and passenger cabin ventilation. (Switch light illuminates)

  1. Off closes intake and exhaust SOVs to seal aft cargo bay enclosure
  2. AIR SOVs opened to allow recirculated or conditioned air to ventilate the aft cargo bay
  3. COND AIR will provide automatic temperature control of aft cargo bay utilizing electric heater

  1. On AILC (anti-ice leak detection controller) modulates the wing anti-icing valves

  1. ON allows the cowl anti-ice SOVs to open which will allow bleed air into the leading edge of the cowls via a piccolo tube

DET TEST switch light (provides 3 separate functions)

A
  1. The switch light is used to test the ice detector circuitry and probes. Successful test will be indicated by an ICE caution and illumination of the DET TEST switch light
  2. Pressed in and hold by the pilot will test the probes and sensor heaters. Successful test will be indicated by a green ADS HEAT TEST OF advisory message
  3. When in icing conditions with the wing or cowls off, the switch lights will illuminate, along with an ICE caution message

WSHLD LH and RH toggle switches

A
  1. Low all 4 panels are heated to 24 degrees Celsius

2. HI windshield are heated to 41 degrees Celsius

WSHLD TEST button

A

Pressed in, initiates a self test of the windshield heating system. A successful test is indicated by the L and RWSHLD HEAT and L and R WINDOW HEAT caution message. (Windshields are windows must be energized prior to the test)

  1. ON the ground with AC power supplied, TAT and pitot bases are off
  2. Static and AOA are heated
  3. Pitot heaters are half heated
