Here, there was a greater amount of seedlings and saplings, they were taller, and they were a greater majority of the conifer regrowth. There was a positive correlation between sequoia reproduction and shrub cover. There was not a correlation between sequoia reproduction and distance to sequoia trees that are alive. Overall, these finding challenge that sequoia regeneration is hurt by high-fire severity.
