Paper 2 Flashcards
(6 cards)
1
Q
Talk about Muscular Involvement Continuum?
A
- Precision of Movement
- Gross Skill: Involves large muscle movement e.g. Rugby Tackle
- Fine Skill: Involves mores intricate movements using small muscle groups e.g. Darts
2
Q
Talk about Pacing Continuum?
A
-Timings of movement/ who controls movement
- Self Paced: Performer has control over rate at which skill is carried out e.g. golf shot
- Externally Paced: Performer has no control over rate at which skill is carried out e.g. open environment- basketball dribbling
3
Q
Name the Six Classification Continuum
A
Continuity, Muscular Involvement, Organisation, Pacing, Environmental Influence, Difficulty
4
Q
Talk about Organisation Continuum
A
- Number of sub-routines in skill/ how closely linked subroutines are
- Low: skill can be practised using part method; subroutines tend to be discrete e.g. swimming
-High: subroutine closely intervrated and difficult to separate, best practice as a whole e.g. cartwheel
5
Q
Talk about Continuity Continuum?
A
- How well defined beginning and end of skills are
- Discrete: clear beginning and end, single skill e.g. penatly kick
- Serial: Several discrete elements together to make intergrated sequence e.g. triple jump
-Continous: No obvious beginning or end e.g. Distance Running
6
Q
Talk about Environmental Influence Continuum
A
-Effects of the environment
-Open skill
