Main points of class rating?

apply to simple aircraft and may group similair aircraft together.

Attend relevant course with theory, instruction and skill test.

Valid for 2 years

Main points of type ratings?

Applies to more complex aircraft and not transferable. Valid for one year and must include IR.

if revalidated during validty then continues from expiry date. 1 sector flown with examinar during validity.

Otherwise (within 3 months), proficiency check and 10 route sectors.

Part-MED: How long is a class 2 medical valid for?

18 years old

revalidate upto 45 days before expiry, otherwise renewal examination needed.

What should you do if you become ill?

If illness lasts 21 consecutive days, you must declare this to an AeMc. Not the authorities.

Medical suspended until medical check and declared fit.

Must declare for hospitalisaton of any period of time.

Skills test: demonstrate skills and manouvres. with ref only to instruments with one engine inop.

Validity: proficiency check 3 months prior to expiry.
renewal reuires refresher training and proficiency check.
beyond 7 years you start again.
