  • Induction training - New employees are introduced to the business when they begin the job
  • On the job - Training takes place at the business. Usually carried out by experienced staff.
  • Off the job - Employees train away from the company. Usually carried out by an expert

A

ADVANTAGES
* Specific → Suits business’s needs
* Nothing to pay for → Cheaper
* Work isn’t interrupted by staff attending courses outside the office

DISADVANTAGES
* Not led by experts → Lower quality of training
* Employees may pick up bad habits from other workers
* Work interruptions → lower concentration
