What are some professionalism characteristic in a phlebotomist?
Dependability, honesty, integrity, empathy and compassion, professional appearance, and interpersonal skills
What is ethnical behavior?
It’s conforming to a standard right and wrong to avoid harming the patient in any way.
The standards of right and wrong is called “code of ethics”, that provides personal and professional rules of performance and moral behavior that all phlebotomists are expected to follow.
What are some facilities you may find a phlebotomist?
Physician office labs (range from simple screening done in the office to specialized testing for large groups), Reference labs (large independent labs preform routine and highly specialized testing that cannot be done in small ones; onsite or offsite) , Urgent care centers, Nursing home facilities, wellness clinics
