Travels up from the roots and around the plant in the xylem

Enters the leaf through small holes (stomata) on the underneath

Photosynthesis is controlled by the enzymes which are in the chloroplasts of the cells

Plant cells respire using glucose to provide energy.

To make more complex carbohydrates such as cellulose (used to strengthen walls)

They use glucose from photosynthesis and energy from respiration to build up fats and oils.
