Q

What are the steps of the photosynthesis practical ?

A

1) Start by taking a boiling tube and place it 10cm away from LED light source
2) Now fill the boiling tube with sodium hydrogen carbonate solution - This releases CO2 which is needed for photosynthesis
3) Place pond weed into the boiling tube
4) Leave for 5 minutes to acclimatise to conditions in boiling tube - Bubbles of gas (oxygen) should be produced
5) Start stopwatch and count number of bubbles produced in 1 minute
6) Repeat 2 more times and calculate mean number of bubbles produced
7) Repeat all practical again but change distance of light source
