Q

Velocity

A

measurement of the rate and direction of motion

Calculated by dividing the total displacement by the total time taken

Displacement➗time taken

7
Q

Acceleration

A

Is a measure of the rate at which it changed speed. Tells u how to quickly the speed changed
the final velocity is less than the initial velocity, acceleration will turn out to be a negative quantity or the rate at which an object slows down.

Acceleration= Vf- Vi➗time

Force

A

Described as a push, pull, or lift on an object

E.g gravity pulling a rock down to earth

Q

Equal and opposite forces

A

The statement means that in every interaction, there is a pair of forces acting on the two interacting objects.
Equal in size
Opposite in direction
Acting on two different objects

Q

Net force

A

acting on an object is equal to the mass of the object multiplied by the acceleration of the object,

Net force= Mass x Acceleration

Q

2nd law

A

The change in velocity of an object depends on the size of the net force and the mass of the object

A=f➗m
F=ma
