Fluid intelligence refers to the ability to reason and solve problems in unique and novel situations.
Crystallized intelligence refers to the ability to use knowledge acquired through past learning or experience
Forgetting curve
The forgetting curve hypothesizes the decline of memory retention in time. This curve shows how information is lost over time when there is no attempt to retain it.
Nudging and the 2 types
taps into irrational biases to push people to make certain decisions
Type 1 Influences behavior (using a smaller plate when eating food makes you eat less)
Type 2 Triggers reflective thinking to shape a behavior (Promising someone to be on time makes you more punctual)
