- symptoms similar to retinal detachment
- sometimes see ring floater in vitreous- weiss ring
- no treatment

- optic nerve at back of eye become damaged over time
- cashes visual girl loss
- pressure inside of eye due to build up of aqueous humour in anterior chamber

effects central vision and causes central vision loss

dry amd
drusen forms at back of eye
vision gets worse slowly over time

presents quite suddenly
treatment: anti-VEGF intravitreal injections
diabetic retinopathy
- high sugar levels damage small blood vessels in eye
- screening offered
